Meet our Leadership and Members

Welcome

Welcome to La Capitale (LA) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated website. We appreciate you taking the time to peruse our website and learn more about us and our standing commitment to East and West Baton Rouge parishes and now, other surrounding parishes. We encourage you to reach out to us if you have any questions or comments.

The Links, Incorporated is an international, not-for-profit corporation, founded in 1946. Currently, the membership consists of over 16,000 women of color in 288 chapters across the country, the Bahamas and the United Kingdom. It stands as one of the nation’s oldest and largest volunteer service organizations committed to enriching and sustaining the culture and economic perpetuity of persons of African descent.

La Capitale (LA) was chartered on April 12, 1986. Focused on purposefully serving our community, we achieve this by programming in five facets: Services to Youth, The Arts, National Trends and Services, International Trends and Services, and Health and Human Services. It is through these facet programs that our members have dedicated thousands of hours in volunteer service.

As you continue to navigate our website, we hope that you are able to realize our devotion to our community. Consider partnering with us, as we continue to support our national theme, “Transforming Communities, Fulfilling Our Purpose.”

In humble service,

Raquel Square-Ayles President
