The Links Incorporated addresses its community service commitment using the following program facets. ​Likewise, La Capitale's outstanding programming includes the five facets and are implemented through strategies such as public information and education, economic development, and public policy campaigns.
Services to Youth
Joining with the Pennington Bio-Medical Research Center in a year-long focus on childhood obesity with parents and children at a local head start program.
The Arts
Co-sponsored with the Louisiana Arts and Science Museum for 17 years to showcase African American Art Exhibitions.
Co-sponsored an Art Inspiration Workshop with Kristen Downing for middle school girls in East Baton Rouge Parish.
Health and Human Services
Sponsoring “Let’s Shop Healthy”, a supermarket shopping experience, and "Trunk or Treat", a Halloween project, with parents and children to encourage healthy food choices. And collaborating with Mayor Holden’s “Healthy Baton Rouge” initiative focusing on childhood obesity.​
Co-sponsored "Give Kids a Smile" with Dr. Sancerie O'Rourke-Allen of Distinctive Smiles of Baton Rouge, LLC.
National Trends and Services
Partnering with the LSU Ag Center and Freeman-Matthews Head Start with a focus on maintaining healthy organs.
International Trends and Services
Providing personal care supplies to expectant women in rural areas of South Africa and women affected by the earthquake in Haiti.
